GRADE 11 - SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATHEMATICS STRAND (STEM)

Robotics 11

Description
Robotics for kids allows children to learn STEM concepts in a hands-on environment. They learn how to program, design, and make their own robots. Robotics offers an educational tool for kids to think out of the box. Many times kids have ideas of what they dream to create. Robotics makes those dreams come true.

Robotics classes teach students how coding is used in robotics through fun, hands-on projects. Students will learn how to navigate robots through virtual worlds and gain a deeper understanding of how robots can be used to solve problems through discussions of real-world applications.
10 Tips for Getting Started with Robotics

Learn about electronics.
Buy some books.
Start off small.
Get LEGO Mindstorms if you don't have any programming experience.
Enter a contest - I.E. Build a 'bot to do something.
Work regularly on your 'bots.
Read about the mistakes of others.
Don't be a tightwad.

MODE OF LEARNING: ASYNCHRONOUS TYPE OF LEARNING

What is asynchronous learning? Asynchronous learning allows you to learn on your own schedule, within a certain timeframe. You can access and complete lectures, readings, homework and other learning materials at any time during a one- or two-week period.

EXAMPLES OF ASYNCHRONOUS LEARNING
1. Watching pre-recorded lecture videos or lessons.
2. Viewing video demonstrations.
3. Reading and writing assignments.
4. Research projects.
5. Student presentations.
6. Online class discussions via course discussion boards.
7. Individual or group projects.
